Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE won’t be all that affordable after all

Cheaper than the Tab S9, but not as cheap as the last FE tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Leaked Renders

The existence of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE was leaked way before the recent Unpacked event. We’ve seen multiple leaks regarding Samsung’s upcoming Fan Edition Android tablets. However, the tablet’s pricing is shrouded with mystery.

Samsung quite recently confirmed the existence of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE Plus accidentally through the company’s French website.

And now, thanks to the journalist and tipster Roland Quandt, we finally have some information about the pricing of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE, and it doesn’t look cheap.

The high price of the vanilla Galaxy Tab S9 FE model

According to Roland Quandt, the vanilla Wi-Fi-only variant of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost 63,000 INR in India.

After direct conversion, the price comes to around $761, which is not really cheaper than the premium Galaxy Tab S9 which starts at $799.

That said, due to the import taxes, Samsung devices are usually priced higher in India than in the US. For example, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 costs $200 more in India.

So, considering the Indian pricing, we expect the Galaxy Tab S9 FE to be priced around $649-$699, which is not as expensive as the Indian pricing but not as affordable as previous Fan Edition tablets.

In contrast, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE was released in 2021 and came with a $529 price tag when launched. Unfortunately, Quandt didn’t share any news regarding the “Plus” variant of the Tab S9 FE series.
