Samsung began the year with the release of the Galaxy S23 series, which received mixed reviews due to some minor improvements and disappointments.

Regardless, this hasn’t deterred Samsung from developing the next Galaxy S series. It is highly likely that the Korean company is already working relentlessly to meticulously develop the Galaxy S24 Series, scheduled to launch next year.

But the leaks regarding the next Galaxy S series are already emerging. A recent report has revealed Samsung’s internal code names for the devices.

Will there be a Galaxy S24 Plus?

According to two news outlets, SamMobile and GalaxyClub, the Galaxy S24 Series is using the internal codename “Muse.” This isn’t surprising since the code name for the Galaxy S23 series, “Diamond,” was leaked well in advance of its release.

Both outlets are essentially reporting the same thing. The code name for the Galaxy S24 Ultra is supposedly “Muse3”, implying that “Muse1” and “Muse2” are designated for the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus, respectively.

However, a well-known Korean outlet, The Elec, suggested that Samsung might drop the Plus model in the coming Galaxy S24 series.

However, this report was instantly debunked by WinFuture journalist Roland Quandt via a Tweet. Moreover, the latest leak supports Quandt’s claim.

There is still a possibility that Samsung initially planned to develop three models as usual but later decided to drop the Plus model midday without changing code names.

Either way, the next Galaxy S series is slated for a 2024 release. Whether it will include the Plus model or not remains a topic of speculation.

And in the meantime, prepare yourself for the upcoming Samsung Unpacked event scheduled for next month, where the company is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S9 Series, and more.
