The post Does the Galaxy S21 have a headphone jack? appeared first on KnowTechie.

]]>

Quick Answer: No, the Galaxy S21 does not have a headphone jack. To use wired headphones with the Galaxy S21, you’ll need a 3.5mm AUX adapter.

While there aren’t many major Samsung Galaxy S21 changes compared to the S20, a few key updates make the S21 a more affordable option.

Like the iPhone 12, this iteration of Samsung’s flagship smartphone doesn’t come with a charger. This is an effort to reduce electronic waste and help keep the phone’s price down.

Samsung has been known for years for its high quality and sleek design. The Galaxy S21 line is no different.

This may lead some potential buyers to wonder what other things might be left out. The Galaxy S20 line from Samsung released in 2020 was the first Galaxy phone to launch without a headphone jack.

This came several years after Apple began producing iPhones without the 3.5mm headphone port. But what about the Galaxy S21?

Does the Galaxy S21 have a headphone jack?

Short answer: No

Samsung has decided to leave the headphone jack off the Galaxy S21. All Galaxy S21s, including the S21 Plus and S21 Ultra, don’t have a headphone jack.

So what does this mean for Samsung smartphone users? While there is no headphone jack on the Galaxy S21, you still have other options.

Firstly, there are a plethora of Bluetooth headphone options available. The Galaxy S21 supports any Bluetooth headphones. Another option is using a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter to connect wired headphones to the Galaxy S21.

Using a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter with headphones simultaneously prevents your phone from charging.

Where is the headphone jack on the Samsung Galaxy S21

Sadly, the Galaxy’s S21 headphone jack is gone, but with all the wireless options available, it seems logical to start phasing them out.

Instead, the Galaxy S21 phones rely on USB-C or wireless Bluetooth connectivity for audio output. This was likely done to save space for other components and align with industry trends of removing the 3.5mm port.

Users who still prefer wired headphones can utilize a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter to connect legacy headphones. But otherwise, wireless or USB-C audio accessories are required for private listening with the Galaxy S21.

Nowadays, phones are thinner and more ergonomic. Plus, not having a phone jack also cuts down a little on prices, which is good for everybody.

5 ways your nonprofit can rock social content marketing https://knowtechie.com/5-ways-nonprofit-can-rock-social-content-marketing/ https://knowtechie.com/5-ways-nonprofit-can-rock-social-content-marketing/#respond Sat, 08 Jul 2023 13:00:00 +0000 https://knowtechie.com/?p=305491 This guide will show you how to best utilize social media for marketing your nonprofit.

The post 5 ways your nonprofit can rock social content marketing appeared first on KnowTechie.

]]>

Social media is a fantastic tool to raise awareness and tell your story. And that is exactly what most nonprofits need. Here’s how to utilize social media for marketing your nonprofit.

Document your strategy

Documentation is the best way to get everyone in your organization on the same page.

Content marketing should not be siloed in one department because a successful strategy crosses departments, and folks from different areas should take on different assignments.

You may wish to include development staff, marketing staff, executive management, volunteer coordinators, and program staff (e.g., ask your folks in the field to make quick videos with smartphones, then tweet them to major donors).

Here are some of the things to come to a consensus on; then write down:

  • What is the tone, style, and voice of your content? Will this be different on different platforms (perhaps based on the demographics of your supporters who use different media)?
  • How will content deliverables be produced; who will be responsible?
  • How often will deliverables be produced/distributed?
  • Who will be responsible for follow-up/engaging with constituents?
  • What process will you use to evaluate engagement, and who will be responsible?

Budget for your content marketing

Online marketing

It obviously makes little sense to spend time documenting a content marketing strategy if you don’t have the resources to act on it. So it’s imperative to allocate a budget for this endeavor.

First and foremost, of course, you need staff. If you can’t hire who you need, consider outsourcing. In any regard, there are other areas to consider setting aside a budget for:

  • Search engine optimization (for small to medium sites, this can be handled by an SEO content helper tool)
  • Analytics and tracking tools
  • Print or other offline promotion
  • Social media ads (e.g., Facebook; Linkedin)
  • Content discovery tools
  • Native advertising
  • Online banner ads

While many nonprofits get queasy at the thought of allocating funds for advertising, you do have to spend money to make money.

If you distribute your content in such a manner that it engages the right audiences and drives important leads, then it’s penny-wise and pound-foolish not to do so.

There are plenty of free and affordable tools to help. Canva (here’s more on Canva pricing) and Agorapulse (which starts at $49 a month) are just two examples.

Just start small. Test and analyze the platforms you’re considering using before launching a full-fledged campaign.

Earmarking resources to track and determine which channels drive the most traffic accurately and which types of content generate the greatest engagement and influence the largest donations should be more of a no-brainer.

You want to be able to assess where new leads come from and what type of engagement you get from these leads. Social media metrics you may wish to track include:

  • Referral traffic (the most desired type of traffic because referred visitors are already interested in what you have to offer; easy to track if you use Google Analytics)
  • Click rate on social shares (easily generate more clicks by adding share buttons not just to your website’s home page but landing pages, subpages, images, videos, and any form of content you can think of)
  • Most popular content (easy to track if you use Google Analytics)

Artificial intelligence makes marketing even more affordable by handling easy and repetitive tasks and allowing businesses to allocate resources elsewhere. For example, tools like Flick utilize AI to write social media captions for you:

Another useful tool, Text Optimizer, combines semantic analysis with AI to create highly optimized copy for you to use when syndicating content:

Tell better, more frequent stories

It turns out that human beings are wired for stories. It’s the oldest form of human communication. It’s how we make sense of our world and our place in it. What a perfect vehicle for talking about how to make the world a better place!

Stories are the easiest way to solve your content marketing challenges. It turns out that social media is an optimal mechanism for spreading stories because a basic feature of stories is the telling and re-telling.

A great way to do this is the widespread technique popularized in the 19th century when books were premium items, and installment literature was the way to bring it to the masses.

This is how authors like Charles Dickens and Alexander Dumas got their start, and later on, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Henry James, and Herman Melville.

It’s one reason that when they were made into books, these novels were so long (writers were paid by the line and the episode).

Serial storytelling works because each episode is easy to digest. And folks welcome your content as you continue to tell the story or let it unfold.

Then, if you’re lucky, they’ll share the story with their networks. Your story will then self-replicate as it’s passed from one listener to the next.

Develop an influencer strategy

A person is working on a laptop computer indoors.

One of the best ways to turn your content viral — and spread it beyond your current supporters –is through the use of influencers. And these folks don’t need to be Hollywood or sports celebrities.

You want to find folks who care about your cause, have large online networks, and who may be likely to share your content.

Who are your likely influencers? Think about who might have brand affinity for your cause, then begin to develop relationships with these folks.

Share your content in more places

In our digitally revolutionized society, inbound marketing is the best way to turn strangers into supporters.

Inbound marketing means that once you’ve created great content that aligns with your constituencies’ values and will naturally pull folks toward your organization and mission, you then publish that content with your constituents’ habits in mind.

You go where they are. You engage with them in a manner in which they’d like to be engaged. The places you share your content matter. A lot.

To maximize your chances of reaching folks by using multiple social media platforms. If you want to raise more money, you can’t silo your marketing and your fundraising efforts.

They’ve got to work together seamlessly if you have a dream… a vision… values… a mission you want to spread. Understand that from the outside looking in; you are ONE organization.

No one cares which department created or implemented which strategy. They want value and consistency.

The post New leak confirms Samsung is not dropping Galaxy S24 Plus model appeared first on KnowTechie.

]]>
Samsung began the year with the release of the Galaxy S23 series, which received mixed reviews due to some minor improvements and disappointments.

Regardless, this hasn’t deterred Samsung from developing the next Galaxy S series. It is highly likely that the Korean company is already working relentlessly to meticulously develop the Galaxy S24 Series, scheduled to launch next year.

But the leaks regarding the next Galaxy S series are already emerging. A recent report has revealed Samsung’s internal code names for the devices.

Will there be a Galaxy S24 Plus?

According to two news outlets, SamMobile and GalaxyClub, the Galaxy S24 Series is using the internal codename “Muse.” This isn’t surprising since the code name for the Galaxy S23 series, “Diamond,” was leaked well in advance of its release.

Both outlets are essentially reporting the same thing. The code name for the Galaxy S24 Ultra is supposedly “Muse3”, implying that “Muse1” and “Muse2” are designated for the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus, respectively.

However, a well-known Korean outlet, The Elec, suggested that Samsung might drop the Plus model in the coming Galaxy S24 series.

However, this report was instantly debunked by WinFuture journalist Roland Quandt via a Tweet. Moreover, the latest leak supports Quandt’s claim.

There is still a possibility that Samsung initially planned to develop three models as usual but later decided to drop the Plus model midday without changing code names.

Either way, the next Galaxy S series is slated for a 2024 release. Whether it will include the Plus model or not remains a topic of speculation.

And in the meantime, prepare yourself for the upcoming Samsung Unpacked event scheduled for next month, where the company is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Tab S9 Series, and more.

Samsung is gearing up for its upcoming Unpacked event, where the company will launch the Galaxy Z Flip 5, among other devices.

While there aren’t many significant improvements this year, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will feature two notable upgrades.

Firstly, the cover screen will be much larger; recent leaks suggest it will be a 3.4-inch screen with up to 120 Hz refresh rate. This is a substantial improvement from the previous generation’s 1.9-inch screen.

Additionally, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be powered by Qualcomm’s fastest SoC, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

Let’s just wait for the Galaxy Z Flip 5

As limited as the upcoming updates are, it still was exciting to the fans. However, a recent leak brought the most disappointing news. It seems that the Z Flip 5 will retain the same dual-camera setup and the same battery size this year.

Last year’s Galaxy Z Flip 4 faced criticism for its camera quality and below-average battery life. Interestingly, a Korea-based news outlet, Chosun, reported that Samsung intends to deliver major camera and battery improvements through software.

The outlet has stated, “In response to customer complaints that the Galaxy Z Flip lags behind the Galaxy S in functionality, the latest model features clear improvements in camera and battery life matching the level of the Galaxy S23.”

“Due to space limitations, it is difficult to boost camera pixels and battery capacity, but photo clarity and battery issues were hugely improved with the help of software.”

With that said, we can’t just take these statements for granted, even if it’s from Samsung. But we are eager to see what sort of improvements the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 will bring with just software updates.

As far as we know, the company is sticking with last year’s 12MP+12MP dual rear camera system and a 3,700mAh battery.

In contrast, the Galaxy S23 packs a slightly bigger battery and a better camera system, featuring a 50 MP primary camera and 3x tele lens. So we are not sure how the Z Flip 5 will match it, especially when it comes to the zoom.

Additionally, if Samsung has indeed made software improvements, it raises the question of why they aren’t implementing them in the Galaxy S23.

In 2020, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S20 FE as their first Fan Edition device, an impressive mid-range Android smartphone. They followed it up with the Galaxy S21 FE.

Unfortunately, Samsung doesn’t follow a regular schedule for the Galaxy FE series devices, as the company skipped it last year, and now we can expect the Galaxy S23 FE later in 2023.

Interestingly, leaked renders of the Galaxy S23 FE have surfaced today, providing a good look at the upcoming device and revealing some details.

The renders were reportedly leaked by renowned tipster OnLeaks via Smartprix. The leaked images show that Samsung has clearly ditched the older design. Moreover, the S23 FE looks a lot like the Galaxy S23.

The leaked images show a Galaxy S23 look alike. The only difference is the LED flash placement on the back. Even the sides are also the same. However, the bezels on the Galaxy S23 FE are on the thicker side, and the chin is thicker than the other three sides.

The leaks also reveal the dimensions of the S23 FE (158 x 76.3 x 8.2mm), which is roughly the same as the Galaxy S23 Plus.

OnLeaks hasn’t shared any more details about the smartphone; however, according to speculative reports, the Galaxy S23 FE is expected to have a 6.4-inch display and be powered by the Exynos 2200 SoC.

Recent leaks also suggest Samsung is targeting a limited Q3 2023 launch for the Galaxy S23 FE, followed by a wider launch within a few months.

However, a new leak suggests that may not be the case.

The post Galaxy Buds 3 may not appear at the next Unpacked event appeared first on KnowTechie.

]]>
A few weeks ago, Samsung announced it would hold the launch event at the end of July. However, the Korean company didn’t reveal the name of the products that will be showcased at the event.

But the most recent leaks gave away Samsung’s complete roster for the event. Samsung has big plans for the next Unpacked event. The company is ready to reveal the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Watch 6, and more.

However, the recent report suggests the leaks may not have been as forthcoming as we thought them to be-the Galaxy Buds 3 may not be a part of the announcement.

The omission of the Galaxy Buds 3

Initially, leaks and rumors suggested the next generation of Samsung’s Galaxy Buds would be unveiled at the next Unpacked event.

But today, the renowned leaker SnoopyTech’s tweet debunks that notion. According to the tipster, Samsung has provided details regarding its foldable smartphones and Galaxy Tab S9 to retailers and carriers but hasn’t done the same for its audio products.

Samsung usually shares information regarding its products with its retail partners beforehand to help them prepare for the launch.

So, the company sending the information about Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5, and Tab S9 more or less guarantees the launch of those products in the upcoming event.

However, Samsung failed to send any info regarding its audio products, which suggests the company has no immediate plans for the Galaxy Buds 3.

Whatever the case, the presence of the Galaxy Buds 3 in the upcoming event is in serious doubt for the moment. However, Samsung launched the previous generation of Galaxy Buds in August.

That still leaves a potential July release window, or they could be planning to release the Buds 3 in August in a separate event.

SnoopyTech has just dropped a major leak about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 in an extremely cryptic tweet, giving us an early peek more than a month ahead of its official launch.

The well-known leaker shared several images showcasing the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5 in a variety of colors.

Per the leak, Samsung’s new flip phone will hit the market in four color options: Cream, Graphite, Lavender, and Mint. As for other details? The device boasts a fresh hinge mechanism—dubbed as ‘Water Drop’—that allows it to close seamlessly without leaving any gap.

Despite these changes, the device maintains its IPX8 rating with no word yet on an IP58 certification.

However, based on leaked specs, this new model is set to be 2mm slimmer and 0.2mm taller than its predecessor at dimensions of 85.1 x 71.9 x 15.1 mm and weighing in at a comfortable 187g.

Both displays are set to impress with variable refresh rates, peaking at a smooth 120 Hz. This year’s model retains the dual camera module atop the cover display—a 12MP (f/1.8) primary shooter paired with a 12MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide sensor.

People are excited about Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5 this year. Although Samsung was a leader in foldable phones, other companies have now released impressive models too.

So now, everyone is eager to see if Samsung can keep up or if they’ll fall behind in the foldable phone market.

We’re expecting a new iteration of the Z Fold 5 with a slimmer design and thinner hinge. Amidst all this anticipation, there’s been an unexpected leak about the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Sure, it might seem a bit early for rumors, but hey, new info is always good to have, even if it’s a mixed bag of good and bad news.

Let’s start with some positive updates: according to leaker Revegnus’ tweet, Samsung plans to change its foldable display aspect ratio with the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

This seems beneficial as Samsung adopted a new aspect ratio (23.1:9) with its Galaxy Z Fold 4. This slimmer design made handling and using these devices somewhat challenging despite enhancing web browsing experiences due to extended screen space.

The tipster didn’t reveal what this new aspect ratio would be, but we anticipate something closer to traditional smartphones.

For instance, consider rivals of Galaxy Z Fold 6 such as HONOR Magic vs. (21.3:9), Vivo X Fold2 (21:9), or even Google Pixel Fold (17.4:9) set to launch soon.

On a less positive note, it appears that Samsung may stick with a similar camera sensor for three consecutive years – disappointing news!

According to reports, they plan on using it again in their upcoming model – same as last year’s model – which leaves us hoping for better resolution cameras in future models from them!

However, let’s remember that things could still change since we are more than a year away from seeing Galaxy Z Fold 6. For now, let’s keep our focus on the Galaxy Z Fold 5, which is set to release next month.

Once again, we’ve uncovered a massive leak of promotional images ahead of the Samsung Unpacked event this July. These images spotlight the Samsung devices slated for unveiling at the event.

Leaks have previously confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Watch Series 6 will make their debut at the launch.

Recently, SnoopyTech, a well-known tipster, added the Galaxy Tab S9 series to the list of devices for the event. The latest promotional images now offer a preview of Samsung’s full lineup for the forthcoming launch event in Seoul.Play

Samsung is going to have a busy Unpacked

The latest leaks come from tipster Evan Blass. He leaked promotional images via Twitter, showing all the upcoming Samsung gadgets in their full glory.

The first promotional image shows the Galaxy Z Flip 5 with its massive cover display, situated right next to the 14.6-inch Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra.

The Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Buds 3 in a white color scheme are also visible. Surely, the Galaxy Buds 3 will be available in multiple colors, similar to its predecessor.

Another image shows the Galaxy Z Flip 5 neatly tucked into a jacket pocket. The entire image is in black and white, except for the Z Flip 5’s huge cover display, which is supposed to be the main focus of the image.

Presumably, this was done to shift the focus onto the flip phone’s new larger cover display. Rumors suggest the new cover display size is 3.4 inches, whereas its predecessor had a 1.9-inch cover display.

The Z Flip 5 is also expected to feature the new Waterdrop hinge mechanism, which allegedly eliminates the gap when the phone is folded.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Standard

The rest of the images focus on other upcoming products from Samsung. One highlights the Z Fold 5, and the remaining images focus on the Galaxy Watch 6 series.

The image with a closeup of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic would be most pleasing for Galaxy Watch fans as it shows the watch’s rotating bezel.

Either way, everything will be revealed at the July Unpacked event. Samsung sure has a lot of new devices to show at the next event.
