Does the Nothing Phone 2 have better battery life?

The Phone 2 houses a 4,700 mAh battery, 200 mAh bigger than its predecessor, the Nothing Phone 1.

A smartphone displays a screenshot of an electronic device with the time "11:00" and percentages of "1002%" and "1009%" highlighted by a torch and the letters "F", "XIXLCH", and "LO K".

Quick Answer: Yes! The Nothing Phone 2 will have better battery life than its predecessor.

Nothing has done an excellent job of marketing the Nothing Phone 2 in the past months, and all the credit probably goes to its in-house marketing genius Carl Pei.

However, the Nothing Phone 2 was finally launched via a live event yesterday. The reveal was great; it shows the Nothing Phone 2 as a more refined and mature device than its predecessor, the Nothin Phone 1

That said, the original Nothing Phone had a slightly below-average battery life, which the company slightly sorted out with the Android 13 update. However, it’s still a major concern, especially with the Nothing Phone 2, which has a larger, brighter display and a powerful processor.

Thankfully, Nothing overcame this issue with its second-generation smartphone due to more efficient hardware and a slightly bigger battery. The Phone 2 houses a 4,700 mAh battery, 200 mAh bigger than its predecessor, the Nothing Phone 1.

The Phone 2 looks impressive on paper with a 200mAh battery boost, which significantly improves its battery life compared to other devices.

In terms of battery life, the Nothing Phone 1 lasted around 10 hours, with non-stop YouTube streaming and around 12 and a half hours of web browsing.

While the test results for the Phone 2 aren’t available yet, we expect it to obliterate its predecessor’s results.

Yes, the Nothing Phone 2 supports 45W fast charging. According to the company, you can fully charge the device in just 55 minutes. However, this is only possible with a 45W-supported PPS wired charger.

Unfortunately, the Phone 2 doesn’t include a charger in its package. You’ll need to purchase the 45W Nothing Power Brick separately. What you will find in the box is a USB-C cable – which is now transparent.

The company also offers an alternative charging method: using a 15W Qi wireless charger with dual charging support. This method will take approximately 130 minutes to fully charge your smartphone.

Nothing Phone 2 pre-orders are open now, with general availability starting on July 17th.
