New Netflix feature allows easy profile transfers

Netflix has announced a new feature called ‘Profile Transfer,’ a feature specifically designed to assist those affected by the crackdown on password-sharing.

With this feature, users can now transfer their Netflix profiles to an existing account instead of creating a new account.

How does the new Netflix feature work? 

It’s simple. If you find yourself unable to access your friend’s account due to the password-sharing restrictions, you can transfer all your profile information to your own Netflix account.

This functionality is made possible thanks to the latest addition by Netflix. Moreover, even if you don’t have an account to go back to, the streaming platform allows you to transfer your profile to someone else’s account.

However, it’s important to note that this new feature is an extension of the previously announced Profile Transfer feature, which initially allowed users to move their profiles to a new account along with all associated information.

If you think about it, the key difference now is that you can transfer your profile to any existing Netflix account.

When you transfer your profile, the following information will migrate along with it: personalized show recommendations of viewing history, watchlist, saved games, and other settings. 

To access the Profile Transfer option, hover over your Profile Icon in the drop-down menu on the homepage and click on it. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the transfer process.

Overall, this feature provides users with greater flexibility and control over their Netflix profiles, allowing for seamless transitions and a personalized streaming experience.
