Instagram boss prefers Android over iOS, internet erupts

Meta, the company behind popular platforms like Facebook and Instagram, has recently launched its own Twitter competitor called Threads.

The app, developed by the Instagram team, has received a warm welcome from fans, with millions of users joining the platform within just the first week of its launch.

In the past few days, influencers and brands have been asking their followers questions with the hope of encouraging and promoting the platform.

However, a response to a question from Instagram head Adam Mosseri caught everyone’s attention and stirred up a heated debate. 

The comment that started everything 

What actually happened is pretty funny. Popular Tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee has recently joined Threads, where he left the following comment to his followers.

Tech enthusiasts are known for their firm stances, and sparking a spirited debate is as easy as MKBHD thought.

Mosseri couldn’t resist entering the fray of the timeless Android vs. iOS debate, boldly declaring, “Android’s now better than iOS.”

His straightforward remark suggests that while iOS once held the crown, Android has now surged ahead – a seemingly simple statement that ignited quite a reaction among fellow commenters.

Just a simple suggestion that Android could possibly be better than iOS pushed a number of users to the edge. They responded with comments like, “I too hate privacy” and “Do they let you dress yourself in the morning?”

Someone even posted the classic meme in the comment with Eric Andre sitting in the chair asking, “Why would you say something so controversial, yet so brave?”

However, some commenters also shared Mosseri’s belief. Several Android fans backed up Instagram’s boss, claiming that Android has been better and that “Android is innovating while Apple remains stagnant.”

That being said, we are not taking any sides. But it’s fair to say that this bitter OS war will continue to rage on even in the unforeseeable future.
